The Ocala / Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership is committed to representing our membership and serving as an advocate for issues of importance to our business community at every level of government. Through a member-driven process, The Chamber annually develops a legislative agenda that serves as a framework for our efforts to impact the legislative process. The Board of Directors has approved the following Resolutions:
The Ocala / Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership engages our membership through the Public Policy Committee and special events throughout the year with our elected representatives. It is our goal to create a forum to educate our members on issues affecting their business and the community, while providing an opportunity to be a part of the process.

Public Policy Division Vice President: Francine Johannesen, Marion County Building Industry Association
Throughout the year, the Public Policy Committee reviews Issue Advocacy Request submitted by members as well as giving independent review of issues that are impacting Ocala and Marion County businesses.The Committee thoroughly reviews the issue and recommends action to the Board of Directors, if appropriate. If you know of an issue that is impacting the business climate, economy or quality of life in Ocala and Marion County, please complete the Issues Advocacy Request Form. During the Florida legislative session, your Chamber works with community partners and promote pro-business legislation on your behalf to serve as the voice of the regional business community. We encourage all of our members to become engaged in our public policy efforts!
